Game Ready NASCAR COT Toyota 3D Model

COT stands for Car Of Tomorrow. In 2007 Nascar implemented this new style of stock car to improve safety and competition. This model was build ideally for game usage, but will work well in any type of pre-render environment.

Please check out the preview files, included are high-rez renders as well as a controllable 360° preview program of the model. All images were created using the default scanline render system, ‘light tracer’ was enabled for the wire frames.

The model is made up of only 3 textures; body, wheel, and glass. The max and 3ds file both point to 1024 & 512 DDS textures, you can find the 2048 PSD file included in the bonus content.

The entire poly count including wheels and under body is 5407, with 3345 vertices.

The PSD included all the basic layers as displayed on the yellow version of the car, as well as the bonus Tony Stewart. 2008 paint scheme.

Memphis Motorsports Park 3D Model

This track is a ¾ mi 1.2 km oval. This model can be used for any type of project, real time, or pre-rendered. The preview videos and all sample screenshots were taken using the scan line renderer. Please check out the preview files.

This is a game ready race track for use in any type of game ready project. The entire track is around 195,000 polygons. Detail focus was on the inner racetrack. The only detail outside of the oval is the grandstands. The infield is detailed with pit boxes, campers, buildings and semi trucks. All textures are the power of 2 and either DDS or jpg format.

**This model includes all vehicles and animation as seen in the preview images and video in the 3ds Max file.

Nationwide 2010 COT NASCAR Chevy Impala 3D Model

This is a model that replicates the new Nascar Nationwide series COT car for the 2010 season. This model is great for rendering templates and paint schemes.

I created a simple layout on a 2048×2048 (psd) texture. The max scene also includes all textures including the HDR image. All renders were created with the scan line render.

The car mesh is around 30,500 polys. Each wheel is under 1500 polys and can be smoothed. It also comes with extra low poly real-time tires. The inside of the car was modeled and textures to appear to be in dark shadow. Reducing polycount inside the car to increase render times.

Homestead Miami Speedway 3D Model

This track is a 1.5 mile oval & 2.21 mile road course. This model can be used for any type of project, real time, or pre-rendered. The preview videos and all sample screenshots were taken using the scan line renderer. Please check out the preview files.

This is a game ready race track for use in any type of game ready project. The entire track is around 75,000 polygons. Detail focus was on the inner racetrack. The only detail outside of the oval is the grandstands. The infield is detailed with pit boxes, campers, buildings and semi trucks. All textures are the power of 2 and either DDS or jpg format, totaling only 36.4MB. The max file format still has the camera track as part of the file.

This model comes with several sets of extra tires. In case you need to reduce your poly count, you can use one of the optimized wheel sets. The car body and frame are under 18,000 polys alone without wheels.

All textures are included, including the 4096 PSD source for the car body so you can easily create your own textures. If you plan to use the FBX or OBJ versions, you still need to download the MAX file, because all of the textures are stored in that zip file.

At the same time, this model has enough detail to be used for high end pre-rendered scenes. All textures applied to the main vehicle use TGA’s. The zip file also includes a well organized PSD file so you can easily edit/create your own car textures. This model has several extra items included such as a super speedway spoiler and low poly game wheels.

The model in broken up in to several parts so you can optimize, scale back or just remove parts that are not needed. The main car body is under 5000 tris. Each wheel is about 2700. The models also has an extra set of low poly wheels made up of only 236 triangles. Other details such as the interior, exhaust pipes and steering wheel are very detailed around 12000 triangles total.

NASCAR Chevy Camaro Xfinity 3D Model

This is a mid poly range concept model of the 2011 Nationwide Nascar Chevy Camaro. This model is great for rendering templates and paint schemes.

When this model was created, it was a full year before Chevy started to use the Camaro in NASCAR. This was built as a concept car. When Chevy made the announcement it was even noted by jalopnik that the new Camaro looked just like our concept car.

I created a simple layout on a 2048×2048 (psd) texture. The max scene also includes all textures including the HDR image. All renders were created with the scan line render.

The car mesh is around 30,500 polys. Each wheel is under 1500 polys and can be smoothed. It also comes with extra low poly real-time tires. The inside of the car was modeled and textures to appear to be in dark shadow. Reducing polycount inside the car to increase render times.

Please note, if you are not using going to use the max file, depending on your 3d software you might need to re-apply the textures to the other formats.

Kentucky Speedway 3D Model

Kentucky Speedway is a 1.5-mile (2.4 km) tri-oval speedway in Sparta, Kentucky, which has hosted ARCA, NASCAR and Indy Racing League racing annually since it opened in 2000. The preview videos and all sample screenshots were taken using the scan line renderer. Please check out the preview files.

This is a game ready race track for use in any type of game ready project. The entire track is around 256,000 polygons. Detail focus was on the inner racetrack. The only detail outside of the oval is the grandstands. The infield is detailed with pit boxes, campers, buildings and semi trucks. This model comes with a free car and animation of a race car leaving pit lane and completing a few laps.

The model uses power of 2, DDS and JPG textures. Please note, some 3d programs can not open the DDS format. You will need to convert these images using photoshop or a free program such as Irfanview to convert the images into a different format. DDS images were used because they are designed to work great with direct x for real time apps back when this track was built several years ago.
